2016 Farm & Food Care Student Tour

Doyle Wiebe describes how he seeds crops on his farm using this seeding equipment. For a relatively low populated province, we grow big things here in Saskatchewan. For one thing, Saskatchewan encompasses 44% of Canada's arable land - the kind of land that crops can be grown on. #farmfact

Doyle and Valerie Wiebe farm at Langham, Saskatchewan. They grow several crops including hard red spring wheat, feed barley, canola, peas, red lentils, and faba beans. Valerie is an artist and Doyle works with several farmer groups, including the Saskatchewan Canola Development Commission, Western Grains Research foundation and Agriculture in the Classroom.
