Faba Beans Unharvested Due to Shattering
Some faba beans lie on the ground unharvested due to "shattering" - where the pod shatters before or during harvest and the seeds spill onto the ground. Pulses are the dry seeds of legume plants like peas, lentils, chickpeas and beans. Saskatchewan is one of the World's largest pulse producers. #farmfact Photo credit: Farm & Food Care SK
